Community Outreach & Organizing

Our Community Outreach program partners with community residents and local organizations to identify priorities and organize together to advance change. We cultivate confident and skilled family and community leaders, who work together to ensure equal access and opportunity for all families in our community. We focus on the strengths of parents and guardians and their role as leaders in their own families, schools and communities.

Canal Promotores PSP works in partnership with a group of community health workers or Promotores to identify issues and develop solutions to address the interests of the Canal neighborhood of San Rafael. Connecting to Services PSP staff provides a range of direct, family support services to underserved families with children in order to link them to information and resources, crisis assistance and ongoing support as well as leadership opportunities. Marin Health & Human Services Parent Services Project coordinates and provides staff support to the Marin Health and Human Services Public Assistance Community Advisory Board.
